General Description - This position serves as the leader of the Psychology department of a 110-bed licensed adult Psychiatric hospital. This position develops, oversees, and evaluates psychological testing, evaluation, and treatment services for severely mentally ill patients. Requirements of this position include providing reports and evaluations of behavioral programming, staff accountability performances, and unit or facility performance. This position will testify in court hearings as an expert witness. Administers psychological diagnostic tests, synthesizes, and evaluates the results.
This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Candidates must successfully pass a background screening.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in psychology from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Licensure/Certifications: Must be a licensed psychologist in West Virginia.
- Experience: Six (6) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the field of psychology, researching or teaching, or practicing psychological counseling.
Experience Substitution: Doctorate degree in psychology from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.
Pay: $63,675.00 - $106,125.00 per year
