Contract Position. Utility Construction
Location: Plant City, Florida
Facility Resource Partners, LLC is seeking a Field Construction Coordinator to support utility construction associated with a prospective build to suit development in Plant City, Florida.
This is a field based contract position anticipated to last approximately 12 to 18 months, starting in Q4 2026. The primary work will involve observing and documenting the installation of domestic water and sanitary sewer infrastructure serving the development site.
This position is intended for local applicants who live in or within reasonable commuting distance of Plant City, Florida. This is not a traveling position. Travel, lodging, per diem, relocation, and other travel related expenses are not provided.
This is a good opportunity for someone with early career construction experience who understands field operations, communicates well, is dependable, and wants to continue developing their construction management experience.
The Field Construction Coordinator will work independently in the field while reporting to and receiving direction from a remote senior level construction leader.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a regular field presence during active utility construction.
- Observe daily construction activities involving domestic water, sanitary sewer, site utilities, excavation, and related civil work.
- Track construction progress against planned activities and schedule.
- Prepare clear daily reports including work completed, manpower, equipment, site conditions, issues, and photographs.
- Identify potential construction, safety, quality, or schedule concerns and promptly communicate them to the senior construction leader.
- Attend field coordination meetings as required.
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, utility representatives, and other project stakeholders as directed.
- Maintain organized project documentation and field records.
- Assist with tracking inspections, testing, punch list items, and completion activities.
- Serve as FRP's primary field representative for daily construction observation, documentation, and communication.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of construction related experience preferred.
- Experience with civil construction, underground utilities, water, sewer, site development, or commercial construction is preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Comfortable working around active construction operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare accurate and concise daily reports.
- Comfortable using a computer, smartphone, photographs, and basic construction documentation software.
- Dependable and capable of working independently with remote supervision.
- Willingness to ask questions and learn from experienced construction professionals.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must live within reasonable daily commuting distance of Plant City, Florida.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
