Electric Motor Winder Technician - 2nd Shift

L&S is looking for an experienced Electric Motor Winder for 2nd shift. We are seeking a self-motivated team member that has strong verbal and written communication skill, excellent organization skills, likes to work with their hands, with the ability to work independently and multitask.
Responsibilities:

Inspect equipment and parts for damage, diagnose possible reason(s) for issues.

Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils in AC/DC rotating machines using industry best practices.

Operate specialized repair and testing equipment used in electrical rotating apparatus repair industry.

Braze using oxy-acetylene, induction, and/or resistance welding techniques.

Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective equipment.

Able to perform all essential functions of the job.

Complete required job documentation.

Provide feedback to assist in accurate costing and work scope development for rewind projects.

Utilize manufacturer’s recommendations and industry best.

Conduct preventative maintenance as required on equipment in you work area.

Clean and organize shop, as required to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed by supervision.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Good hand/eye coordination.
-
Understanding of electrical theory and strong mechanical aptitude/skills.

Able to wear necessary protective equipment.

Fluent in English (oral and written)
-
Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
-
Valid driver’s license.
-
Previous motor winding experience.
-
Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.

Experience with rigging and lifting heavy loads, and operating overhead cranes.

Forklift experience.
Preferred:
-
Proficient in the use of precision measuring devices, such as micrometers and calipers, etc.
Physical demands:
-
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.

Daily use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed safety shoes.
Schedule: This is a full-time second shift position with potential for overtime. Typical work hours of 12pm-10pm
