Youth Track & Field Trainer
We are seeking a passionate Youth Track & Field Trainer to lead and inspire our young athletes. The ideal candidate has experience coaching youth athletes, strong teaching skills, and the ability to create a positive environment focused on skill development, confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct track and field training sessions focused on running mechanics, speed, agility, endurance, and field event fundamentals.
- Teach proper techniques for various track and field events, including sprints, relays, jumps, and throws (depending on experience).
- Motivate and encourage athletes to reach their individual goals while promoting teamwork and personal growth.
- Provide feedback and instruction to support athlete development and improve performance.
- Communicate with athletes, parents, and staff regarding schedules, progress, and program expectations.
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive training environment.
- Assist with organizing meets, competitions, and special events as needed.
Experience
- Prior coaching or training experience, preferably in track and field.
- Experience working with youth athletes or in physical education is highly valued.
- Knowledge of athletic development, conditioning, and age-appropriate training methods.
- Ability to teach proper running form, speed development, and event fundamentals.
- Experience in other sports, fitness training, or strength and conditioning is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred but not required.
