Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
- Assist in menu planning by offering creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain kitchen organization by cleaning work stations, utensils, and equipment regularly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations
- Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of dishes with accuracy
Experience
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service within the food industry
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices
- Experience in menu planning, food service operations, or catering is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a kitchen environment with excellent teamwork skills
- Basic culinary experience combined with a passion for creating quality dishes that delight customers
