POSITION SCOPE:
The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and machinery through scheduled maintenance, inspections, and proactive measures to prevent breakdowns. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, ensuring safety, and maximizing the longevity of assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regularly inspect equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues, wear and tear, and areas that require maintenance.

Follow established maintenance schedules to perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, filter replacements, and cleaning, to prevent breakdowns.

Replace or repair worn or damaged components during inspections.

Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including dates, parts replaced, and any issues detected.

Use predictive maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis, to identify potential issues before they lead to major failures.

Perform welding (MIG, TIG, stick), as needed for fabrication.

Operates forklift as required.

Assist in wastewater management including monitoring and spill clean up, as needed.

Able to create and utilize work order system properly documenting actions and time.

Properly completes daily paperwork.

Maintain clean and orderly (5S) work area consistent with safety and work rules and regulations.

Work safely around and/or while operating heaving equipment or manufacturing machinery.
- Work overtime hours as required and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises.

Regularly report for work on time with a desire to perform to the best of your abilities.
