Van Driver (Part Time)
Job Description:
We’re hiring reliable Drivers with their own Cargo Vans or Sprinter Vans to support live events and transport production equipment across the region of VA, DC, MD, PA & DE.
You will need to be available on Fridays and Saturdays and be able to transport event equipment such as LED candles, audio gear and small staging equipment, weighing around ~50 lbs, for loading and unloading, between our storage unit in Sterling, Virginia to venues in cities such as: Bel Air, Hampstead, Eldersburg, Vienna, Stevensville, Fredericksburg, Uniontown, Georgetown, Lynchburg and Bethesda.
Most work takes place on Fridays and Saturdays, with consistent weekly routes available.
Here are the Key Details and Responsibilities of the Role:
- Pick up equipment from Sterling, VA storage unit
- Deliver to event venue and return equipment after event.
- Assist with loading and unloading (team support provided at venues)
- Ensure safe handling of all equipment
- Communicate timing and updates with operations team
- Typical arrival at venues: 12pm-2pm
- Reliability is essential
Requirements (Must Have):
- Drivers must own cargo van or sprinter van
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable lifting up to ~50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and responsive
- Full Availability on Fridays and/or Saturdays
Flat Rate Compensation:
- Local Routes (under 60 miles round-trip): $165
- Mid-Range Routes (60–150 miles round-trip): $285
- Long Distance Routes (150+ miles round-trip): $300 + .70¢/mile roundtrip
Compensation covers transportation, load-in assistance, and load-out assistance for the assigned event and invoices submitted by Sunday evening are typically processed Friday for weekly payment!
IMPORTANT: Applicants without their own cargo van or similar vehicle will not be considered and Van Drivers must have their own insurances.
Anyone hired by TMG US that utilizes their own vehicle to transport equipment on behalf of TMG US must have a minimum of $500,000 in Auto Liability Coverage.
