Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging and fulfilling summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for adults with developmental disabilities. You will have the opportunity to support their participation, foster personal growth, and facilitate memorable experiences through various activities and programs.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times during activities and events.
- Supervise a small group of adult campers to the pool, activities, and an excursion into the community
- Provide support and guidance to campers in their daily tasks, encouraging personal growth and development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive camp environment.
- Ensure the safety of each camper and maintain positive health and attitudes during the six days of camp.
Qualifications
- Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities Is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively engage with campers.
- Willing to assist other people and work as a team.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to handle various situations positively.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience in summer camp is helpful
- A passion for working with adults and fostering a supportive community environment.
Camp Kelley Creek operates from August 23-28th at Camp Arroyo Grande. Counselors will stay at camp for six days. Shift ends Friday at noon.

Pay: $100.00 per day
