American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a Nephrology and Cardiology unit, requiring at least one year of nursing experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Acute care setting on a 25-bed Nephrology and Cardiology unit (3 West)
-
Patient population includes End Stage Renal Disease, post renal or heart transplant, chest pain pre/post cardiac cath, pacemaker and AICD placement, and autoimmune or connective tissue disorders

Patient ratio is 1:5
-
Day shift, 7:00am–7:00pm, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)

Every other weekend (EOW) required

Every other holiday (EOH) required

No on-call responsibilities
-
Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC)

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience

Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, discharge planning, point-of-care testing, and performance improvement activities

Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver individualized patient care using the nursing process

Addresses cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care planning

Two professional references required for consideration
