Oversee the Quality Assurance team and manage all quality-related departmental activities

Manage and maintain quality systems, ensuring adherence to QA policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Develop, implement, and continuously improve the SQF system across the organization

Lead SQF training initiatives and ensure all departments are trained and compliant with food safety standards

Serve as the primary point of contact for pest control and chemical service providers

Conduct and manage internal audits; prepare for and lead customer and regulatory audits

Address and manage significant quality holds that may result in product loss, including investigation, documentation, and corrective actions

Write, review, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and documentation

Initiate purchase requisitions related to quality, food safety, and compliance needs
-
Communicate non-routine quality-related costs and risks to leadership

Implement discipline and corrective actions for Quality Assurance team members in alignment with company policies

Collaborate with the Director on Quality Assurance compensation planning and departmental strategy
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Previous experience in a quality management role within food or pet food manufacturing

Strong working knowledge of SQF and food safety regulations

Experience leading audits and managing cross-functional teams

Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
