Infant Program Supervisor

Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School is seeking a compassionate and experienced Infant Program Supervisor to lead our Infant Care Program serving children 6 weeks to 18 months old.
This role provides leadership and daily oversight for our infant classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and Christ-centered environment where infants are known, loved, and cared for. The Supervisor supports infant teachers, partners with families, and ensures the program meets all Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) licensing requirements.
This position plays a vital role in shaping children’s earliest experiences and helping families experience the love of Christ through exceptional care and education.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Provide leadership and daily oversight for the Infant Care Program.
- Supervise and support infant classroom teachers.
- Maintain required staff-to-child ratios and licensing standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) regulations.
- Prepare for and participate in licensing visits and accreditation processes.
Educational & Developmental Excellence
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Colorado Early Learning Development Guidelines.
- Support infant development through sensory play, language development, motor development, and relational bonding.
- Monitor developmental milestones and maintain classroom observations and assessments.
- Ensure lesson plans reflect individualized care and learning.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Maintain proper sanitation, feeding, diapering, and handwashing procedures.
- Ensure safe sleep environments according to Colorado regulations.
- Monitor classroom safety and respond quickly to concerns.
- Conduct regular safety drills and maintain high health standards.
Family Communication
- Build strong relationships with families through clear and consistent communication.
- Lead parent conferences and support families in understanding infant development.
- Provide resources and guidance to help parents support development at home.
Spiritual Leadership
- Integrate age-appropriate faith practices including prayer, worship music, and Christian values.
- Support staff in modeling Biblical values such as love, patience, gentleness, and kindness.
- Participate in staff devotions and faith development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Meets Colorado Department of Early Childhood qualifications for Infant Program Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in infant care required.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of Colorado licensing rules for infant programs.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to Christian faith and alignment with Bethlehem’s mission.
Work Environment
- Classroom-based role with both indoor and outdoor activities.
- Frequent interaction with infants at floor level.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as required by state regulations.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
