Job Summary:
This job is responsible for preparing food in a safe and timely manner according to departmental specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and maintains cooking stations and food
- Prepares food in accordance with HACCP / ServSafe and other regulatory Standards
- Prepares all food items in accordance with the standard recipes
- Ensures proper food quality, portion sizes, and plate presentation
- Communicates with wait staff about customer orders and keeps station clean
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree unless otherwise waived by Tribal Council as based on determined experience and accomplishments.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of food preparation/cooking experience, excellent knife skills, knowledge of food safety (HACCP/ServSafe Certification preferred), and general use of kitchen equipment required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic customer service initiatives
- Knowledge of Sequence of Service and ServSafe guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to analyze a situation and provide a solution
- Skilled in cleanliness and keeping things in order

- Skilled in memorizing lists of items
