Position Summary
The Paintline Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting powder coating equipment to ensure high-quality finishes while meeting production, safety, and efficiency standards. This position plays a key role in producing finished products that meet Price Industries' quality expectations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate manual and automatic powder coating equipment safely and efficiently.
- Apply powder coatings that consistently meet quality and appearance standards.
- Maintain production efficiency while achieving daily production goals.
- Perform startup and shutdown procedures for the powder coating system with minimal supervision.
- Set up powder coating equipment for optimal product quality and production performance.
- Troubleshoot spray application issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and maintain powder coating guns and related equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance (PM) on powder spray equipment according to established schedules.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing standards.
- Work effectively with supervisors and team members to support production goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or powder coating experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate a manual powder application gun with consistent quality and production efficiency.
- Experience operating and maintaining automatic powder coating equipment is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
