We are a leading commercial concrete subcontractor specializing in structural concrete, foundations, tilt-up construction, site concrete, and cast-in-place structures. Our reputation is built on safety, quality, accountability, and delivering projects on schedule. We are looking for a motivated Field Engineer who wants to grow into a Project Engineer and Project Manager while working on some of the region's most challenging commercial construction projects.
Position Summary
The Concrete Field Engineer serves as the link between field operations and project management. This role is responsible for supporting field crews by ensuring work is built according to plans and specifications, maintaining quality standards, coordinating inspections, documenting progress, and helping keep projects on schedule.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, and learning every aspect of commercial concrete construction.
Responsibilities
- Support Superintendents and Foremen with daily field operations.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Verify layout, dimensions, and field conditions before work begins.
- Coordinate with survey crews and verify control points.
- Assist with quality control inspections before concrete placement.
- Track daily production quantities and labor productivity.
- Prepare daily reports and maintain project documentation.
- Coordinate inspections with owners, inspectors, and general contractors.
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, and change order documentation.
- Monitor material deliveries and ensure proper installation.
- Identify conflicts before they impact production.
- Participate in project planning meetings and look-ahead scheduling.
- Help maintain company safety standards and jobsite housekeeping.
- Perform punch list and project closeout activities.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, inspectors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0–5 years of construction experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Experience with commercial concrete construction.
- Experience with tilt-up construction.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, ProjectSight, Procore, AutoCAD, or similar construction software.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Survey/layout experience.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
