Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 1–3 years of litigation experience who is eager to take an active role in representing clients through all stages of litigation. This position offers meaningful hands-on experience, including direct client interaction, courtroom appearances, motion practice, mediations, depositions, and case strategy.
The ideal candidate is a motivated litigator with strong writing, research, and advocacy skills who is looking to build a long-term practice in trust and estate litigation and civil litigation. Experience in trust and estate litigation, probate, tax law, or family law is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right attorney in our practice areas.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing litigation matters from intake through resolution, with increasing responsibility based on experience and performance.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, discovery requests, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across diverse practice areas like employment law, personal injury law, securities law, and more.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress, explain legal options clearly, and manage expectations professionally.
- Maintain meticulous case files using legal case management systems while ensuring compliance with procedural laws and court deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
Our firm offers a starting salary of $100,000–$120,000, depending on experience. Following the 90-day introductory period, attorneys are eligible for a performance review based on factors such as quality of work, productivity, case management, and meeting deadlines. Attorneys may also receive a 20% origination bonus for clients they bring to the firm.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in general litigation with a strong foundation in procedural law knowledge and legal advocacy.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with legal writing and drafting is essential.
- Prior law office experience involving client communication, legal motion preparation, trial support, and case management is highly desirable.
