Position: Server/Cashier
Location: Sudwerk Brewing Co.
Pay: Starting at $16.90 per hour + eligible tips
Position Summary
Sudwerk is seeking friendly, organized, and guest-focused Servers. This position combines traditional table service with cashier responsibilities in our fast-casual brewery taproom, including taking orders, processing payments, delivering food and beverages, and creating an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
● Greet guests warmly and assist with the ordering process
● Accurately enter food and beverage orders using the POS system
● Process guest transactions efficiently and accurately
● Deliver attentive and timely guest service throughout each visit
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas
● Communicate guest feedback or service concerns to management
● Assist with side work including restocking, bussing, running food, polishing silverware, and maintaining clean stations
● Maintain knowledge of current menu items, beer offerings, and promotions
● Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Minimum Qualifications
● Interest in hospitality, restaurants, or the craft beer industry
● Strong customer service skills and positive attitude
● Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
● Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
● Must meet California legal age requirements to serve alcoholic beverages
● Current California Food Handler Card, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire, as required by California law
● Current California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire, as required by California law
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours)
● Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 35 lbs
● Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and moderate noise levels
● Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
● Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Schedule & Work Environment
● Part-time, Temporary, and Seasonal positions available
● Expected hours: 8-24 hours per week, based on business needs
● 4 to 8 hour shifts available
● Day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required
