Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Terminal Manager to lead and optimize all operations within our distribution terminal. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end terminal operations including freight handling, shipping & receiving, inventory control, and distribution processes.
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, transportation teams, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure productivity and safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Oversee transportation planning, fleet management, dispatching, and freight management to optimize delivery schedules and reduce costs.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean principles and process management techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor profit & loss statements, budgeting activities, and supply chain analytics to drive financial performance and identify areas for cost savings.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400, and supply chain software for effective operations management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, shipping & receiving standards, and procurement procedures while maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy through inventory management systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision, distribution operations, or logistics management with a strong understanding of warehouse distribution systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage profit & loss statements, budgeting processes, and supply chain analytics effectively.
- Extensive knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as AS400), and inventory control tools.
- Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies including lean principles and continuous improvement strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with prior supervising experience in warehouse or logistics teams; excellent managerial communication skills are essential.
- Familiarity with freight operations, shipping & receiving procedures, procurement processes, fleet management, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Ability to develop strategic plans for demand planning, production scheduling, procurement, and inventory management aligned with organizational goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) along with logistics-specific software for data analysis and reporting.

Pay: $57,814.62 - $69,626.21 per year
