This is a hands-on, in-shop role for someone who knows suspension and takes real pride in clean, dialed-in work. You'll spend most of your time on lift and leveling kits and suspension systems — plus bumpers, armor, and accessories — on rigs customers depend on. No drama, no cut corners. Responsibilities
- Install lift kits, leveling kits, and suspension systems on trucks and adventure vans (Ford F-150 / Super Duty, Ram ProMaster, Mercedes Sprinter, Chevy/GMC, and more) — this is the core of the role
- Install bumpers, skid plates, underbody armor, and other off-road accessories
- Wire basic accessories (light bars, etc.) where needed
- Work to fitment guides and torque specs — our reputation is built on clean, bolt-on, no-surprises installs
- Diagnose and solve fitment issues on real-world builds; test-fit and verify everything functions and is safe before the vehicle leaves
- Keep your bay clean, organized, and safe; log your jobs accurately in ShopMonkey
- Deliver work you'd be proud to put your name on — quality over speed
Requirements
- 2+ years hands-on automotive install or mechanic experience — lift kit and suspension work strongly preferred (4x4 or van builds a big plus)
- Comfortable with hand and power tools, lifts, and torque wrenches; able to read install instructions and follow specs precisely
- Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine attention to detail
- Reliable, takes ownership of the work, communicates clearly, and shows up
- Valid driver's license; able to safely move customer vehicles
- Bonus: off-road/overland enthusiast, welding/fabrication, basic accessory wiring, or ASE certification
Compensation & Benefits
- $28–$38/hr depending on experience
