Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Worker and Trim Carpenter to join our team full-time. This role requires a versatile, self-motivated individual with a strong background in carpentry, construction, and trade skills. The ideal candidate will lead tasks on job sites, ensuring work meets our company’s exacting standards while collaborating with a diverse team of craftsmen and willing to learn new skills with onsite training.
Key Responsibilities
Carpentry & Trim Expertise
- Frame walls, floors, and structures with precision.
- Install and finish trim, baseboards, crown molding, and door/window hardware.
- Hang interior and exterior doors and windows.
Finishes & Detailing
- Tape, mud, sand, and finish sheetrock for seamless walls and ceilings.
- Paint walls and trim to company specifications.
- Touch up paint and maintain finishes throughout the job lifecycle.
Utilities & Appliance Integration
- Perform basic electrical tasks: install outlets, switches, and run wiring.
- Assist with plumbing: disconnect/reconnect lines, install faucets, drains, and sinks.
- Install and connect appliances (dishwashers, garbage disposals, refrigerators, washers/dryers).
Quality Leadership
- Oversee daily tasks to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project deadlines.
- Maintain attention to detail, problem-solving on the fly, and commitment to client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver’s license (must be able to transport tools/equipment).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction or remodeling.
- Proven expertise in trim carpentry, framing, and sheetrock finishing.
- Familiarity with basic electrical and plumbing installations.
Preferred:
- Experience with kitchen/bathroom remodeling or custom home builds.
- Ability to lead small teams or mentor junior staff.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $22.00 – $28.00/hour (based on experience)
