Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and related mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately execute repairs or installations.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and ensure proper operation of appliances involved in property maintenance.
- Utilize welding skills for equipment repair or modification when necessary to ensure system integrity.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all field service activities while promoting a safe work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and appliance repair.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC design principles combined with practical skills in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals essential for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Field service experience involving the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing instruments.
- Ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely while transporting tools or equipment to job sites.
- Additional skills such as welding, plumbing expertise, boiler operation knowledge, and mechanic experience are highly desirable to excel in this role.

Pay: $22.44 - $45.66 per hour
