Certified Medical Assistant - FULL TIME - McKinney, TX
Need an Experienced FULL TIME Medical Assistant in McKinney, for an expanding and fast growing Internal Medicine Practice
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Taking histories and vitals, assisting physician when needed, phone triage, patient education, scheduling diagnostic tests and procedures, must be willing to accept other duties as assigned which includes completing appropriate paperwork, answering incoming telephone lines and directing calls to the appropriate staff, filing, mailing, faxing, insurance verification, pre-certs, and scanning. EMR is a must, PREFERABLY e-Clinical Works.
Previous 2-3 years in an outpatient doctor's office experience is preferable. Ability to multi-task while remaining focused upon providing exceptional customer service. Professional appearance and demeanor are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, Spanish a plus. Must be reliable, flexible, punctual and motivated.
Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Must have finished a Medical Assistant accredited program. Experience with Phlebotomy is required. Familiarity with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Electronic Medical Records is a must, eClinical Works HIGHLY PREFERABLE.
