Duties

Instruct athletes on fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success

Demonstrate and instruct behaviors that lead to socially acceptable character development, self discipline, confidence, and pride of accomplishments in student athletes

Perform various duties as assigned by head coach or athletic director

Generate an attitude of fair play for adhering to the Minnesota State High School League “Code of Ethics”

Be in regular attendance at all competitions and training sessions

Instruct student/athlete in rules, rule changes, new developments and innovative ideas in coaching
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-
Knowledge of all athletic policies and implementation by the entire staff on the program

State and league regulations; implements the same consistency with all staff
-
Have understanding knowledge of rules and regulations as presented by the Minnesota State High School League.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program
-
Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport
-
Continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the sport

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
