Orthodontic Assistant — Ryan Orthodontics (Plymouth, MA)
Ryan Orthodontics is looking for an experienced, friendly Orthodontic Assistant to join our team in Plymouth, MA. We're a patient-focused practice dedicated to creating great smiles in a warm, welcoming environment.
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, with possible Monday hours
Location: One Scobee Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360
Responsibilities:
- Assist Dr. Ryan chairside during orthodontic procedures (bracket placement, wire changes, band fittings, etc.)
- Take intraoral scans, photos, and X-rays as needed
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with treatment planning documentation
- Provide a positive, reassuring experience for patients of all ages, especially children and teens
Qualifications:
- Prior dental or orthodontic assisting experience preferred
- Massachusetts dental assisting certification/registration (or willingness to obtain)
- X-ray certification a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused
