High School or GED equivalent required,
Experience with vertical mills, horizontal mills, and lathes required.
Machining technical training by a trade school or college preferred.
Ability to inspect parts using hand inspection equipment (calipers, mics, etc.).
Ability to understand CNC machines, machining, inspection and safety.
Ability to build and set tools required per the set-up sheets and perform offsets when necessary.
Ability to perform initial inspection requirements using basic hand inspection tools before handing it off to the inspection department.
Ability to read and understand drawings (basic general dimension and tolerancing “GD&T,” specifications and instructions, etc.)
Ability to achieve acceptable first-pass yield rates by producing conforming parts during setup and production runs.
Ability to complete all manufacturing inspection plans (MIPs), setup documentation, ERP transactions, and production records.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
