Lead Teachers: Lesson plan and implement age-appropriate activities, organize the physical classroom environment, and create a positive and safe learning space for the children. *Must be lead-qualified or be willing to become lead-qualified by completing required coursework.
Assistant Teachers: Assist lead teachers in providing high quality, safe care of children.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide a nurturing and safe environment where children can thrive
- Supervision and management of a group of children
- Interact with and encourage children in daily activities
- Assist in preparing and serving meals, promote learning by sitting and talking with children during mealtimes
- Help with general housekeeping tasks around the center
- Attend required staff meetings and continuing education trainings
- Help build a supportive and caring team, by being flexible, responsible, helpful, and kind
Recommended Qualifications:
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
- On the job training is available!
