Responsibilities
- Provide individualized reading and writing instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels, including early childhood, preschool, and older learners.
- Help students with schoolwork and also test prep, including SAT and ACT .
- Adapt instructional strategies to accommodate students with disabilities or special education needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize a variety of teaching techniques such as lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional adaptability to maximize student engagement and progress.
- Employ assessment tools to monitor student progress regularly and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support comprehensive learning experiences and ensure consistent progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching reading and writing skills across different age groups and proficiency levels.
- Test-taking skills, test anxiety reduction skills
- Strong knowledge of literacy education principles, curriculum development, and instructional adaptability.
- Experience working with students with disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with learning technology, e-learning platforms, classroom management techniques, and lesson planning tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to deliver individualized instructions effectively.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
