Job description:
Diesel / Trailer Mechanic Assistant
The Diesel Mechanic Assistant is responsible for aiding the mechanic in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines in commercial and industrial applications. The Diesel Mechanic Assistant will provide support with the following duties & responsibilities:
-Maintain parts and supplies inventory; maintain supply levels as required by department
-Repair or replace parts on various types of diesel engines including superchargers, turbochargers, fuel systems, etc.
-Clean and inspect engines to ensure parts are present or replaced and report such deficiencies
-Maintain a clean work environment
-Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
·High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. vocational program leading to 2nd or technical school preferred.
·1-2 years of experience preferred.
·Certifications may be useful but no direct replacement.
·Ability to read, write, & communicate in English.
·Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a medium level.
·Reliable transportation.

Diesel TRUCK/TRAILER REPAIR: 1 year (Preferred)
Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
