Job Title: Injection Molding Machine Operator

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Injection Molding Machine Operator to support our Manufacturing team. The Injection Molding Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. This role requires a strong understanding of molding processes, material handling, and quality standards, with opportunities to grow into process technician and tooling support roles.
Our Manufacturing Department operates a range of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to support production of precision components for demanding applications.

Hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–4:15pm & Friday 7:00am–12:00pm (Overtime Available)

Responsibilities:
Performs machine startups and shutdowns following standard operating procedures.
Sets up injection molding machines, including installing molds, connecting water lines, and verifying proper machine parameters.
Monitors machine performance and cycle times to ensure efficient production.
Inspects molded parts for quality, including visual defects, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
Trims, finishes, and packages parts as required to meet production and quality standards.
Identifies and reports molding defects such as short shots, flash, sink marks, or warping.
Performs basic troubleshooting of machines and processes, escalating issues to technicians or supervisors when needed.
Maintains accurate production records, including scrap, downtime, and output tracking.
Follows established quality control procedures and documents inspection results.
Ensures proper material handling, including loading resins, drying materials, and maintaining material traceability.
Supports mold changes and assists technicians with process adjustments and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintains a clean and organized work area, including machines and surrounding workspace.
Adheres to all company safety standards, PPE requirements, and operating procedures.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience operating injection molding machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
Basic understanding of injection molding processes, materials, and machine operation.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, process sheets, and engineering drawings.
Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges for part inspection.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor machine or process issues.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet output goals.
Proficient with basic computer systems for data entry and production tracking.
Ability to lift 50 lbs safely and handle materials as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods while operating equipment.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
