As a Joe Muer Bartender, you are the conductor of the guests' evening. You do not just take orders, you guide your guests through a culinary journey. You will anticipate needs before they arise, showcase a deep knowledge of our premium cuts and selections, with global wine pairings all while delivering flawless, synchronized service with genuine warmth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft Cocktail Execution: Prepare classic and contemporary cocktails with accuracy, consistency, speed, and attention to presentation.
- Beverage Excellence: Confidently recommend, sell, and serve premium wines, rare spirits, and bespoke craft cocktails. Flawlessly execute tableside wine presentation and decanting.
- Expert Menu Guiding: Articulate daily features, ingredient origins, steak preparation techniques, and seafood flavor profiles with passion and precision.
- Steps of Service: Maintain an immaculate table presence, mastering the mechanics of fine dining (crumbing, synchronized clearing, proper marking of silverware, and course pacing).
- Guest Connection: Build rapport with high-profile guests, regulars, and first-time diners alike, tailoring your service style to their unique energy and expectations.
- Collaboration: Work seamlessly with the culinary team, sommeliers, bartenders, and support staff to ensure a fluid, high-energy service.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of serving experience in a high-volume, fine dining establishment (premium steakhouse or seafood concept preferred).
- Beverage Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of Old World and New World wines, varietals, and regions. Court of Master Sommeliers introductory certification (or equivalent) is a major plus.
- The Fine Dining Mindset: An obsession with detail, a sharp memory, and a polished, professional demeanor. You thrive under the high expectations of a luxury dinner service.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and major holidays.
- Certifications: Alcohol service certification required, we can provide.
