Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and general construction tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and door hanging.
- Operate woodworking machines safely to cut, shape, and assemble wood construction materials for various projects.
- Assist with metal stud framing, drywall installation, restoration work, and remodeling projects across residential sites.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to power tool safety protocols and site safety standards.
- Support team members with tasks such as reinstallation of fixtures, woodwork finishing, or site cleanup as needed.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret construction plans accurately.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings related to residential carpentry.
- Skilled in using hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels) and power tools designed for woodworking and framing.
- Experience with woodworking machines such as saws, planers, or sanders is highly desirable.
- Background in construction site experience with emphasis on framing, drywall installation, restoration industry practices or remodeling projects.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique during rebar installation or material handling.
- Familiarity with metal stud framing, door hanging, fixture installation or handyman tasks enhances versatility on the job site.
