Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and appliances using hand tools and power tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute plumbing projects.
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and assembly tasks to ensure secure and durable installations.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Assist with remodeling projects by integrating plumbing components seamlessly into existing structures.
- Lift heavy materials safely while adhering to safety protocols; perform heavy lifting as needed on construction sites.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and project progress for each job site.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction practices with experience in construction plumbing and remodeling projects.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and schematics reading.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and general building infrastructure.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience with welding techniques and assembly processes in a construction setting.
- Familiarity with carpentry skills that complement plumbing installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for site access; handyman experience is a plus for versatile job support.
