Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Qualified Professional Peer Support Supervisor to lead and oversee peer support services within our behavioral health programs. As a supervisor, you will mentor peer support specialists, ensure adherence to clinical standards, and promote recovery-oriented practices. Duties
- Supervise and mentor peer support specialists, providing guidance on crisis intervention, behavioral health strategies, and motivational interviewing techniques
- Oversee daily operations of peer support services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and clinical standards
- Facilitate training sessions on crisis management, addiction counseling, social work principles, and the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Monitor service delivery to ensure quality and consistency in mental health counseling and recovery practices
- Collaborate with clinical teams to develop individualized care plans that incorporate peer support insights
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development opportunities for staff
- Lead efforts to foster a trauma-informed environment that emphasizes dignity, respect, and empowerment for all clients
Experience
- Proven experience in behavioral health or mental health counseling, with a strong background in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising or mentoring peer support specialists or similar roles
- Knowledge of addiction counseling principles and social work practices within community or clinical settings
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and build collaborative relationships
- Experience working with diverse populations facing mental health challenges or substance use issues is preferred
- Certification or training in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, or related fields is highly desirable

Pay: $25.00 - $28.19 per hour
