Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher Assistant/Para-professional at Marathon Area Elementary School and Marathon Venture Academy to join our student-centered educational team. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to support classroom activities and foster a positive learning environment. Your energetic approach will help inspire young learners and ensure they receive the personalized attention they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Experience or two years of post-secondary education are preferred. High school diploma is required.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in preparing and organizing classroom materials, lesson plans, and activities aligned with curriculum standards.
- Support students with diverse learning needs by providing one-on-one or small group assistance.
- Help implement lesson plans focused on literacy education and math skills.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
- Support classroom management by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety protocols throughout the day.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
