Responsibilities
- Conduct pawn transactions by appraising items, setting loan terms, and ensuring accurate documentation
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through our services
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for retail sales, cash register operations, and cash handling with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to encourage sales and upselling opportunities
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining an organized store environment
- Handle retail store product knowledge to educate customers about merchandise, including jewelry, electronics, or other valuables
- Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with clients or vendors and ensure clear, professional interactions at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred
- Supervising experience in a retail or customer service setting is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for cash handling is essential
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a valuable asset for serving diverse communities
- Experience in product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management will set you apart
- Knowledge of retail math for balancing cash drawers and processing transactions accurately
- Prior experience in customer service roles that require phone etiquette and professional communication
