The Research Assistant/Technician 1 will contribute to applied research investigating the effects of High-Power Microwave (HPM) environments on system and subsystem components.This position offers hands-on experience in electromagnetic testing,
instrumentation, data analysis, and advanced research conducted in a multidisciplinary laboratory environment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, execution, andanalysis of laboratory and field experiments designed to characterize HPM-induced electromagnetic fields, currents, and voltages within representative system enclosures
- Support electromagnetic modeling and simulation activities
- Prepare test articles and instrumentation
- Collect and analyze experimental data
- Document test procedures and results
- Assist in the validation of computational models through comparison with
measured performance
