Overview
We are seeking an energetic and responsible Commercial Driver's License B Truck Driver to join our team. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, logistics cargo handling, and adherence to safety regulations will drive our success in delivering exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for drivers passionate about route driving and cargo transportation to make a significant impact. Our Delivery Driver (CDL - Class B) serves a dual role. Responsibilities include safely driving routes to deliver batteries to NH and northern MA, some overnight maybe required, picking up used cores, maintaining client relationships, warehouse duties and extreme heavy lifting (55+ lbs).
Core Responsibilities
- Plan efficient daily routes for timely product drop-offs and used battery pick-ups.
- Load and unload the truck, stock customer shelves, and perform various in-house warehouse tasks.
- Act as the face of the company by delivering an excellent customer experience, educating clients on promotions, and generating sales leads.K
- eep accurate logs of all customer transactions and paperwork.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle with flawless DOT compliance.
- Age: At least 21 years old.
- Experience: 1+ years of CDL driving experience.Records: An excellent driving record and an excellent history of DOT compliance.
- Physical Ability: Must be physically strong and capable of repeatedly lifting heavy batteries.
- Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat).
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT safety standards for truck driving and cargo handling.
- Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading/unloading processes; experience with logistics cargo handling is a plus.
- Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS devices for efficient route planning on OTR routes.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring safety compliance.
