Role Description
The Business Analyst will work closely with leadership, product, and content teams to turn client and platform data into actionable insights that improve how Annapurna Influence serves its brand clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing performance metrics across answer engines, supporting pricing and packaging decisions, building reports and dashboards, and identifying process improvements. The analyst will also gather business requirements, document workflows, and help bridge the gap between data, product, and client-facing teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from internal stakeholders and clients
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking key performance metrics (citation rates, content performance, publisher distribution, client retention)
- Analyze trends across client accounts to identify opportunities for improved AEO performance
- Support pricing, packaging, and go-to-market decisions with data-driven analysis
- Identify inefficiencies in internal workflows and recommend process improvements
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to align on priorities
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Maintain accurate, well-organized documentation of business processes and reporting logic
- Monitor industry trends in AEO, SEO, and AI answer engines to inform business strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with SQL or BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced startup environment
- Self-motivated and able to manage time and priorities independently in a remote setting
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS, digital marketing, or content/media industries
- Familiarity with AEO, SEO, or GEO concepts and how answer engines evaluate content
- Experience working with product or engineering teams on data requirements
