Self-Care Simplified is a psychologist-owned group practice seeking licensed psychologists to conduct remote mental health disability evaluations for veterans through an established medical evaluation program.
This is an evaluation-only position. Veterans are seen for disability evaluation purposes and do not become therapy clients. The role is ideal for psychologists who enjoy assessment, diagnostic interviewing, record review, and report writing and are looking for flexible, remote work without the responsibilities of maintaining an ongoing therapy caseload.
Most evaluations can typically be completed within approximately 60–90 minutes, including records review, interview, and documentation, although time requirements vary based on provider experience, records complexity, and evaluation type. Initial onboarding, credentialing, and training are provided.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote mental health disability evaluations for veterans
- Review relevant medical and military records
- Conduct structured clinical interviews
- Complete standardized disability evaluation reports
- Submit documentation within required timelines
- Maintain quality and timeliness standards for report completion
Required Qualifications
- PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field
- Active psychologist license in at least one U.S. state
- Current PSYPACT Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT)
- Strong diagnostic interviewing and assessment skills
- Excellent clinical writing and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Comfort reviewing and synthesizing complex records
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with veterans or military populations
- Experience conducting disability evaluations, independent medical evaluations, forensic evaluations, or psychological assessments
- Experience evaluating trauma-related conditions
- Strong report-writing experience
