Reporting to the Assistant Registrar for Systems and Infrastructure, the Systems and Infrastructure Generalist is a member of the Registrar’s Systems and Reporting team and serves within the University Registrar’s Office (URO) as the webmaster, report support, data specialist, and systems technician. This position actively participates in implementing and testing new tools, workflow processes, and strategic initiatives designed to increase departmental effectiveness. The Systems Infrastructure Generalist is primarily responsible for technological, systems, and reporting-running functions within the URO, including their interdependence with university-wide systems, and provides functional support for the Systems and Reporting Team.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Systems and Infrastructure Generalist will be trained in the scribing and maintenance of DegreeWorks, the University’s degree clearance and auditing system. Scribing is an essential skill set within the URO and requires a higher level of technical skill, understanding, and ability. The position requires a solid understanding of how to leverage reporting to support student needs and the institution’s strategic goals. The Systems and Infrastructure Generalist will also assist in troubleshooting system issues, maintaining system documentation, and supporting the integration of new technologies and processes across the office.
