Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Kennel Technician/Trainer to join our passionate team. Duties
- Provide daily care and supervision of dogs, including feeding, cleaning, exercising, and administering medications as needed
- Implement basic training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization skills in dogs
- Handle dogs safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to maintain hygiene standards
- Support veterinary technicians or veterinarians by assisting with animal examinations and treatments
- Engage in pet sitting duties by monitoring dogs’ health, behavior, and comfort during their stay
- Maintain detailed records of animal care activities, training progress, and behavioral observations
Skills
- Proven experience in dog training or behavioral modification techniques
- Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Knowledge of pet grooming procedures and pet sitting best practices
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies, equipment, or assisting with larger animals
- Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to animal care and safety
