Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial settings
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure precise installation and repairs
- Operate company vehicles safely while transporting tools, materials, and equipment to job sites
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and plumbing inspection cameras effectively
- Perform drain cleaning using appropriate techniques and equipment to resolve blockages efficiently
- Adhere to all local building codes and safety regulations during every phase of work while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with clients by providing clear explanations of work performed and offering maintenance advice for water systems and plumbing components
- Assist with remodeling projects by adapting existing plumbing setups or installing new systems as needed
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks regularly while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Skills
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair in residential or commercial settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge of water systems, plumbing components, and system maintenance procedures
- Skilled in welding, pipe threading, blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and using plumbing inspection cameras
- Familiarity with local building codes to ensure compliance during all projects
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and company vehicles safely and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about technical issues and solutions
- Knowledge of remodeling processes related to plumbing systems; handyman experience is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and material estimations
- Construction site experience including working on construction sites with diverse teams in fast-paced environments
