Join our team in Amangalla. Amangalla lies within the ramparts of Sri Lanka’s 17th-century Galle Fort, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Offering views of the Fort and harbour on one side and the hotel’s lush gardens and swimming pool on the other, the historic residence presents lofty-ceilinged suites, elegant dining and a tranquil Aman Spa complete with Hydrotherapy Suites.
Role
Responsible for maintaining the property's finishes, including painting and decorating to the highest standards. Perform a range of tasks including preparation and application of paint, wallpaper, and other finishes, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and maintenance of supply inventory.
Responsibilities
- Carry out painting, polishing, and surface-finishing work throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers before painting.
- Perform touch-up painting and maintenance work to ensure hotel standards are consistently maintained.
- Follow safety procedures and coordinate with the Engineering team to complete tasks efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Painter in a hotel, resort, or commercial property.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing materials.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
