Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with varying needs, helping them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Document client progress and any changes in behavior or health status in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to coordinate care effectively.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in home health, memory care, and community support.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health, patient care, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with memory care practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to administer medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals for independence.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of clients, including potential evening or weekend shifts.
