Hiring Server / Captain (Manager) in Boca Raton, FL
We’re a small, family-owned omakase sushi restaurant creating an intimate, vibrant, and fun dining experience in Boca Raton.
Our menu is focused and simple — great fish, great rice, great sushi, no unnecessary fuss.
We’re looking for someone with personality, energy, and a genuine love for hospitality.
This position can range from an experienced Server to a Captain / Floor Manager, depending on your experience and ability.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Welcoming guests and making them feel at home
· Taking orders and guiding guests through our sushi and beverage menu
· Working closely with our sushi chefs to keep service fast and smooth
· Making sure sushi gets to the guest quickly — when it’s ready, it goes!
· Managing tables, counter guests, and the flow of service
· Handling reservations, seating, and guest requests
· Serving sake, beer, wine, Japanese tea, and other beverages
· Keeping the dining room and sushi counter clean and organized
· Helping with takeout, private dinners, events, and special projects when needed
· Having fun while taking hospitality seriously
For Captain-Level Candidates
If you have the experience and leadership ability, you’ll also:
· Lead the floor during service
· Coordinate servers, chefs, and support staff
· Manage reservations and seating flow
· Handle guest issues with confidence
· Help train and develop the service team
· Keep everyone organized and moving
· Take ownership of the guest experience from arrival to departure
You don’t need to stand in an office to manage this restaurant.
Our Captain is on the floor, with the guests and the team.
You might be a great fit if you:
· Have restaurant serving or management experience
· Love hospitality and genuinely enjoy people
· Have personality and know how to read a room
· Work fast without losing attention to detail
· Stay calm when things get busy
· Communicate well with chefs and coworkers
· Are comfortable using POS and reservation systems
· Are reliable and professional
· Like working as part of a small team
· Aren’t afraid to jump in wherever needed
Sushi or Japanese restaurant experience is a big plus — but attitude, personality, leadership, and willingness to learn matter most.
Pay:
$25–$40 per hour, depending on experience and ability.
Strong server? Great.
Can you lead the floor, manage the room, take care of guests, and keep the team moving?
