LeoPalace Resort Guam is seeking experienced Prep Cooks and Line Cooks to support both restaurant and banquet operations, ensuring consistent food quality, efficiency, and adherence to the highest standards of sanitation and teamwork.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes, production sheets, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Execute assigned station responsibilities during service, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of menu items.
- Assist in the preparation of hot and cold foods for restaurant outlets, banquets, and special events.
- Maintain proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation in compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies prior to service; ensure readiness for high-volume periods.
- Follow recipes, plating guidelines, and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service, reporting any concerns to kitchen leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen inventory and supplies.
- Support kitchen team members across stations as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or resort environment preferred.
- Basic culinary knowledge, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency.
- Ability to follow directions, standardized recipes, and production schedules accurately.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support others and adapt to changing needs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Health Certificate/Food Handler Certification required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, or carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
- Continuous use of hands for food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and plating.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly during busy service periods.
