The Supervisor, Production is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, and cost targets. This role oversees production schedules, manages workforce planning, ensures compliance with company policies, and develops team members to support efficient and safe operations.
Location: Eden Prairie, MN
Schedule: First shift, Monday-Friday
What you will be doing:
Understand Stratasys goals and manufacturing strategies to execute the production schedule in assigned production areas to meet daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly goals
Ensure production procedures and policies are followed and quality standards are maintained
Foster good communication and teamwork within production and with other departments
Work with the organization to improve processes and efficiencies and reduce scrap/rework
Drive and lead participation in continuous improvement activities
Develop schedules and manpower requirements for production cells
Ensure execution of daily Tier 1 meetings to include preparation of data in advance and clear communication and escalation to Tier 2 meetings
Participate in budgeting and planning activities on assigned production lines
Update management and other departments of any issues or risks to production plan, identify alternatives, and make plans or recommendations for mitigation
Participate in budgeting and planning activities on assigned production lines
Ensure execution of production lines including workflow, people and resources
Ensure policies and procedures are understood by the team and address any issues in a timely manner to drive an engaged and productive team
Develops work team and leads to meet the goals of the operations strategy using Stratasys leadership tools
Ensure production teams have all the tools and resources needed to complete their work
Analyze and resolve work problems or assist employees in solving work problems
Staffing the production cells based on schedules and line capacities to include hiring staff, development of people, and onboarding
Drive and maintain a training system to ensure production personnel are properly performing the tasks they are assigned per quality standards
Ensure production team follows all established safety procedures and systems
Identify, report and take appropriate action regarding safety issues. Develop recommendations for solutions and improvements with Stratasys EH&S team
May lead or have active role on the safety committee
Ensure production team produces products that meets quality specifications and partner with the Stratasys Quality team to ensure customer satisfaction
Identify and communicate quality issues and make recommendations for action and improvements
Ensure production team is trained and follows all written work instructions and policies
Lead improvements through lean manufacturing principles
Ensure timely and accurate completion of employee timecards, time off, and expense approvals

Other responsibilities as assigned by the department leadership
Must have for this role:
2+ years in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to work with others
1+ years of experience with lean manufacturing methods (e.g., 5S, Demand Flow, Six Sigma)
Experience in a multi-shift production environment
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills required. Fluent in English both verbal and written
Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and HR Systems
Demonstrated planning, communication, and execution skills
Self-motivated and goal orientated
Nice to have:
Lean Certification
Six-Sigma Certification

For this position, the typical annual starting base salary is from $66,260 to $83,507, which does not include variable incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. Your individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, geographical location, and/or experiences.
