Dimensional Checker (Quality Inspector) – Night Shift

We are currently seeking a Dimensional Checker to join our team at one of our shop locations in Idaho Falls, Idaho. This position plays a key role in ensuring our products are manufactured correctly, meet drawing specifications, and stay within established tolerances. Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:15 PM – 3:45 AM
Job Summary
As a Dimensional Checker, your primary responsibility is to ensure the products in your assigned areas are:
- Manufactured correctly
- Built to the dimensions listed on fabrication drawings
- Within established tolerances
- Welded correctly based on weld symbols, including verifying weld lengths and sizes shown on drawings
This role requires accuracy, consistency, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify first-piece inspections and complete two-hour inspections of manufactured parts
- Perform quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to confirm product dimensions and specifications
- Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to identify and resolve quality issues
- Follow established procedures for quality documentation and inspection tracking
- Collect inspection data and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with production teams to address non-conformances and improve quality outcomes
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ year welding experience (welding is not required for this role)
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferred), especially in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and procedures
- Familiarity with CGMP standards
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, etc.)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
