Assignment Details:
The position is for an ECFE Preschool Teacher
This position may be combined with an ECFE Parent Educator assignment if the individual is dual licensed.
The position will work Monday-Friday
License/Certification Required:
PreK or Birth to age 6 Early Childhood Education License, required
Dual licensure in Parent Education and Early Childhood Education, preferred
Current pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, required

This Position Is Medical Insurance Eligible but not Dental Benefit Eligible.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops lesson plans and instructional materials which are developmentally appropriate and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the District approved curriculum to the needs of each pupil.

Evaluates pupils' academic and social-emotional growth, keeps appropriate records in a timely fashion and prepares progress reports.

Collaborates in identifying pupil needs and makes appropriate referrals as needed. Supports the ECSE team with implementing individualized education plans as needed in the classroom.

Maintains a professional day, as defined by building/and contract.

Communicates regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of newsletters, phone calls, emails, conferences, etc.

Works in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues and supervisors.

Maintains and improves professional skills by participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices.

Participates in a professional learning community on a regular basis.

Integration of technology into instruction.

Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

May plan and coordinate the work of paraprofessionals and volunteers in the classroom and on field trips.
