Position: Production Team Member
Reports to: Supervisor, Production
Position Summary:
A Production Team Member sorts, assembles and packages fresh cut fruit according to safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and yield requirements in order to meet customer expectations. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining a positive employee relations culture. They cooperate in all training, coaching, and performance management. The team member collaborates with others to find ways to continually improve the operation. Compliance to all food safety and quality policies including HACCP, GMP’s, personal hygiene, storage and handling, and allergen control is a crucial component of this position. This role is responsible for reporting any potential food safety concerns to Production Management or Quality Assurance.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Follow all safety policies, procedures, programs, practices, and standards. Report all hazards before an incident occurs. Attend safety talks and ensure complete employee participation in daily safety exercises.
2. Ensure the safe handling and storage of all equipment, including mobile equipment. To maintain quality, keep food from any bacteria by properly cleaning all devices, equipment, and tables. This includes aprons, gloves, rubber boots, rubber mats, table tops, table frames, plastic pails, plastic scoops, barrels, and the walls and floors inside the production room.
3. Maintain standards in environmental and finished product micro results. Ensure that the cut and mix consistency are maintained at 90% or higher.
4. While standing for long period of time at a table or end of conveyor, accurately and mindfully pack containers, pouches, or boxes to then be stacked on correct finished good pallets.
5. Clearly, openly, and positively communicate that one solidly understands and supports Country Fresh Inc.’s values, culture, and policies.
6. Participate in regular shift leadership meeting. Bring any issues or concerns to the attention of the Supervisor.
7. Support and drive culture of continuous improvement to create efficiencies and add value for the customer.
8. Embrace change and bring new ideas to supervisor.
9. Ensure that all line staff, including new staff members, have been trained in their job function within the first week on the job and annually thereafter.
10. Monitor and train employees to sort out cores, machine mishits, and quality defects of fruit on a conveyance line.
11. Ensure the effectiveness of the cold chain throughout the process.
12. Make sure that the packing of fruit is done with minimal spillage/ waste.
13. Upholds current Good Manufacturing Practices & Safety Policies as outlines in the Quality Systems Manual.
14. Understands and demonstrates appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment.
15. Demonstrates understanding of Standard Operating Procedures.
16. Sorts and packages fruits by following protocols set forth by the standard operating procedures.
17. Meet or exceed monthly budgeted yields by fruit variety.
Position Requirements:
1. Ability to read/interpret production process materials, record data, and perform basic math functions.

Job Type: Full-time
