Job Title: Overnight Home Care Nurse for our 3 year old son | Trach & Vent Dependent w/ G-Tube
Location: La Jolla, CA
Overview:
We are offering an overnight nursing position to care for our 3 year old son with critical complex special medical needs. Our family is ready to work with you to ensure you feel supported, trained, and confident in providing pediatric care. This role is perfect for a compassionate nurse looking for a meaningful, family-based setting.
Shifts: 3x12 hour shifts, 8pm-8am Saturday-Monday + PRN shifts as available
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily respiratory support, including tracheotomy care and ventilator monitoring, with guidance and training as needed.
- Administer feedings through his G tube, monitoring for comfort and tolerance.
- Monitor vital signs, being attentive to respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Assist with medications and PRN needs
- Engage our son in gentle play activities to support his development.
Requirements:
- Current RN or LVN license
- Comfortable with tracheotomy and ventilator care, or willing to learn.
- Pediatric or home care experience is a plus, but we welcome new graduates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
- Compassionate, dependable, and collaborative.
